Presentation of the Group

A significant network in Europe

Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice. Three cities known and loved all over the world. Three destinations associated with the wonders of the Côte d'Azur. Three airports managed by Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur with a threefold requirement: bolster, preserve and promote the region in which we operate, and which allows us to grow.

With its three strategic airports as well as its assistance services for business aviation, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur comprises nearly 700 employees across 23 sites, representing one of the major European airport groups.

Nice Côte d’Azur, France’s 2nd busiest airport platform

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is the second largest airport in France, after Paris. Across all types of aircraft (commercial and business aviation and helicopter traffic), Nice airport handled nearly 14.2 million passengers compared with 14.5 million in 2019.

Passengers can choose from its network of 116 direct destinations in 44 countries, operated by 58 airlines. Other than Paris, it is also the only French airport to offer 11 regular long-haul flights to Atlanta, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, New York, Montreal and Riyadh, and the only to accommodate daily flights of the A380.

A leader in business aviation in Europe

As manager of the Nice Côte d’Azur, Cannes Mandelieu and Golfe de Saint-Tropez airports, Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur ranks 2nd in Europe in business aviation traffic. Operating the FBO Sky Valet network in more than 44 destinations in Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy,France..., and developing our network through the Sky Valet Connect label, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur has established a unique network of stopovers throughout Europe.

Maintaining the allure of our region

Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur is a flagship of its region that represents a strategic and economic development tool for the French Riviera, allowing the region to reinforce its vocation for tourism as well as attract numerous international companies, particularly at Sophia Antipolis, Europe's leading technology cluster.

As an advocate for the region, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur strives to integrate its operations into the environment. First and foremost by imposing strict approach paths on pilots to avoid planes flying over residential areas. Then to reduce sound pollution and greenhouse gas emissions generated by aircraft engines. The Group has installed electrical power supply systems on the parking areas for business aircraft, the first airport in the world to do so. It has also established an environmental commitment charter in each of its three airports, which was signed with local residents and the Group’s different partners and outlines best practice rules that airlines and pilots must adhere to.

Net Zero 30

As a committed stakeholder for environmental protection, using 100% renewable green electricity, the Group is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and minimising its impact. As such, the three airports have been engaged in a voluntary and ambitious undertaking to reduce their carbon footprint since the early 2000s, and, since 2011 in the worldwide and independent Airport Carbon Accreditation programme.
