Bernard Kleynhoff, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, announces the appointment of Dominique Thillaud to the Chair of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, following the retirement of Hervé de Place.

The Supervisory Board, which met on Friday, 28 September 2012, decided to entrust the command of the second largest airport company in France to Dominique Thillaud.
For Bernard Kleynhoff,"This is a rail transport specialist and a transport specialist in general who is joining us. With his years of experience in the corporate world, intervening in particular in the public sector, Dominique Thillaud understands the issues related to the development of both the company and the territory. He will safeguard the interests of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur as well as those of our region, with the same approach of co-development."

Aged 43 years and a graduate of EMLYON Business School and ISC Paris School of Management, Dominique Thillaud began his career in 1992 in Brussels in the mergers and acquisitions department of Banexi, the investment bank of the BNP Paribas Group. Two years later, he joined the audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in the "Corporate Finance" section. In 1997 he joined JPMorgan Chase as Vice-President in charge of the mergers and acquisitions activity. He advised the Lagardère Group, in particular, on the creation of EADS. He joined SNCF Participations in 2002 as Director of Operations and a member of the Executive Committee and he was appointed Managing Director in 2003. Director of Corporate Strategy, Investment and Development of the SNCF Group, he was the prime contractor for major development projects of subsidiaries and affiliates of the SNCF (Eurostar, Thalys, Keolis, iDTGV Géodis). Since January 2012 he was also Chairman of SNCF Energie.

Hervé de Place (1971 graduate of HEC Paris International Business School) leaves the Presidency after 40 years of service with Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, including 25 years as head of the company.
For Bernard Kleynhoff, "Widely recognized and appreciated by the airport community, Hervé de Place brought unfailing professionalism and scope of vision to the Nice Côte d’Azur and Cannes Mandelieu platforms. Key economic player, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, symbolised by major achievements and responsible development, saw its traffic break all records this year. Proof of the right decisions being made over the long term by Hervé de Place. The Côte d’Azur owes a lot to him."
